Little successes

Being in opposition is frustrating, but you can still resolve certain issues and make little improvements to the local area.

After a huge amount of lobbying I’ve finally persuaded the council to improve the lighting in the path between Short Street and Kenway, after a string of violent incidents in the area. I’m not completely satisfied, I want CCTV and the trees overhanging the alley to be cut back, but residents in the area are appreciative of the action so far.

I’ve also got the council to put an extra dog waste bin at the bottom of Boston Avenue where it meets the Queensway. This one took rather less time to sort out.
